I am a doctor and a Consultant in Public Health Medicine. I qualified in 1980 and first trained in Paediatrics before moving to Public Health. I am generally peaceable, but a few things can get me really angry. I marched against the Iraq war, and thought my marching days were definitely over. Little did I know. The Health and Social Care Bill is a disaster that will destroy the NHS as we know it. So - here I am - with my marching shoes on again, although it is mostly my fingers on the keyboard! But I was in Whitehall to greet the great Bevan's Runners. I am passionate about the NHS, music, literature, theatre .....
